Coming up May, 12th, 2007 up in Long Beach, CA. Is the All Toyotafest, this event includes some of the best cars ever made by everyones favorite company, Toyota. It features some of the following: Classic JDM Toyotas, AE86 Corolla, TE72 Corolla, TE27 Corolla(The Mango), Toyota Pickups, Celica GT’s, Classic Supras, and some modern supries, its a all toyotafest, anything could happen. If you don’t know what “Bippu Style” is your in for a treat. Bippu (Pronunced “VIPPU”) is the japanese word for V.I.P. or V.I.P. Style cars and clubs.
Bippu modifications and history has often been linked to the yakuza. It is claimed that bippu came to be due to the risk of gangsters riding around in high-profile European sedans like the Mercedes S-Class or BMW M-Class. The attention could either bring about police action or retaliation from rival gangs. By using Japan domestic market cars with modifications associated with the creation of limousines, gangsters could avoid detection by the police and rival gangs.
Automotive enthusiasts caught onto these modifications, and adapted beyond luxury sedans, utilizing minivans and Kei cars. One advantage presented to enthusiasts is that such modifications can make a car luxurious without being expensive.

The Formula Drift season opener on the streets of Long Beach blew the doors off of drifting events as we knew it. Besides, the awesome venue, this year’s event brought out the masses. Everyone and their mom was out at this event. It was good to see a lot of new faces competing and even some of the old timers from import drag racing wandering around the pits.

Some hardcore racing fans might tell you that the best way to drift is not to do it all. The driver in this video will likely never try drifting again, but not because it’s slower around a track than driving a tight line. No, he’s not going to drift again because he learned the hard way that drifting inside a development with raised curbs is a recipe for broken car with a side of pissed off parents.

I think its nice that someone is able to get a Honda Civic to drift, but it’s too bad he can’t compete in D1GP or any big drifting competitions, seems like a waste. As you can see in the video(pay attention to rear tires) he uses his ebrake alot, otherwise I don’t think he could slide that long without it, enjoy!
