How can I support TheDriftScene?
We have been receiving numerous emails since we implemented the contact form, the biggest question is: How can I support TheDriftScene? Our staff have come up with a list of ways to help out, that are free, quick, and easy!
- First off, you may notice that we don’t have any sort of advertisements, this is because we don’t want to flood the readers with all sorts of unwanted things.
- We will never ask, or accept any sort of donations, we do this for fun, not for business or money.
- One thing that we really enjoy is lots of traffic, this is easy for you, the user to help out with. One of our biggest ways of getting traffic is links from other websites. So if you have a website, and know some HTML, all you have to do is copy the following code, and paste it on your site, and you automatically help us.
<a href="http://thedriftscene.com/">Checkout What's Going on in The Drift Scene!</a> - Submitting to social bookmarking websites, sites like Digg, Del.icio.us, Netscape, and Reddit are the best way to promote blog articles, we have a button for Social Poster, which lets you submit articles to over 20 social bookmarking sites.
- Ranking us on blog directories like Blogflux, submitting our site to new ones also helps.
- If you find something interesting on our site, go ahead and use our content, but please leave a source link, or a trackback.
- One thing we DO NOT want, is image hotlinking, our image galleries use a lot of bandwidth, and if you are hotlinking, we will know automatically, and we will be forced to replace the images with a warning image.
- Leave comments, if you like or dislike something, let us know!
- RSS feeds: we offer RSS feeds in all sorts of flavors, if you are running Firefox, you can choose your flavor easily by clicking the Feed button in the address bar.
- Last but not least, submitting stories and interesting content, our staff is currently fulltime students, and it isn’t easy just to think of something off the top of our heads to write about, submitting articles/links/videos will help graciously!
