Rhys Millen Kills Pikes Peak RWD Time Attack Class

Well know drifter from New Zealand, Formula D champion, and all around car guy, Rhys Millen this weekend had dominated the Pikes Peak RWD time attack class with his Pontiac Solstice GXP. Remember ladies and gentlemen, this is a dirt course with a car built for drifting, an amazing feat by Mr.Millen. Here is the official press release.

A formal appology from thedriftscene

A week ago, I was stressing about my car situation, and not having any cash to fix it. My first idea was to sell this site, so I put it up for auction on SitePoint, had some interest, lots of flakes, whatever. I just wanted to apologize to any dedicated readers or if your just coming to the site for the first time, things are just going to go back to normal, and I am going to try and raise the bar in quality drifting/JDM content so I can make this site even better, and make it something other than just a hobby.

I realized, I like writing stuff for this site…  For example, I am a happy guy because I am writing this right now, why would I try and get rid of that? I am so dumb.

On a side note. Do you have a drifting/car related website? You do? Awesome! Lets trade links. Post a comment here with your site URL so I can check it out, or head over to the contact page and shoot me a email.

The Best Forza 2 Skins Roundup

Forza Motorsport 2 features are incredible feature called the livery editor. It has tons of preset shapes which you can use to make whatever you want to have painted on your car in the game. Some very creative folks have gotten their hands on this new tool for the game, and are producing some very unique and awesome designs. Also, another new feature in Forza Motorsport 2 is the online Auctions area, where you can sell your design for money for career mode.

Hot Import Nights: Nightshift San Diego 2007 Photo Gallery

It’s been a while folks, but I am here with some good stuff. Hot Import Nights recently came to my hometown(San Diego, CA) with its annual Nightshift car show. It had all sorts of goodies like the Dunlop Drift Team Demo, moto x, and all sorts of cool things. Inlcuding cars and models and the usual car show sort of things. V8 Drifting Invasion Continues

The return of Ford representation to the Toyo Drift Australia Series will add another element to the continuing V8 Drifting invasion, when the series takes to Mallala Motorsport Park this weekend, April 14-15.

While four and six cylinder Japanese cars have dominated the sport, true to its origins in Japan, V8 muscle has made strong inroads.

In the Toyo Drift Australia Series, Holden V8s arrived in 2005, with Jeremy Lake taking out the final round of the season aboard a Monaro.
