Rally Driver Hits a Cow In The Head

An amazing video of the Citroen rally car crashing into a cows head, the cow just seems to wander onto the track, I am pretty sure its dead, or its head got cut off from the force and speed of the car, anyways a amazing/shocking video.

Aussies Take on Japanese in World of Drifting

utedrift1.jpg

Drifting has became very popular, from the mountains of Japan to the Big Screen in Hollywood. An Australian company has recently started its own drifting school. From what I know, I already thought that drifting was pretty big in Australia with Holden’s and Nissan’s, but now I guess it is even bigger. The school is based in Japan, which is very interesting, but makes since, because of the already popularity of drifting in Japan.

The queensland based company has deemed its school “Physics in Motion Drift School at the Tokachi International Speedway in Obihiro, Hokkaido.”. Rather than trying to attract Japanese drifters, and racers, the company is leaning towards the thrill seekers in Asia, Safe Drive Training managing director Joel Neilson said. “We are aiming at a high-end group of corporate travelers. Senior executives from Hong Kong or Singapore who often go and charter a boat, or go on a five-day holiday to a tropical island. The school’s courses are in the same price bracket and a bit more unique,” he said.

Neighbors Manage to Ban Drifting at Altamont Speedway

A family in Alameda, CA has forced Atlamont Speedway to put a temp. ban on drifting at the speedway. This family built there mansion right near the speedway, which is nuts, and now they’re complaining, what a joke. Why would anyone in there right mind build a house right next to a motorsport speedway. I don’t see why they just banned drifting, why didn’t they just ban everything? The family complains that people do donuts in front of their house, and burnouts. The owner of the speedway states that the track would loose close to 3.4 million dollars a year if the ban goes though, and the county would lose about the same from taxes, this has to be stopped.

The Best of Japanese Bippu Style

If you don’t know what “Bippu Style” is your in for a treat. Bippu (Pronunced “VIPPU”) is the japanese word for V.I.P. or V.I.P. Style cars and clubs.

Bippu modifications and history has often been linked to the yakuza. It is claimed that bippu came to be due to the risk of gangsters riding around in high-profile European sedans like the Mercedes S-Class or BMW M-Class. The attention could either bring about police action or retaliation from rival gangs. By using Japan domestic market cars with modifications associated with the creation of limousines, gangsters could avoid detection by the police and rival gangs.

Automotive enthusiasts caught onto these modifications, and adapted beyond luxury sedans, utilizing minivans and Kei cars. One advantage presented to enthusiasts is that such modifications can make a car luxurious without being expensive.

This is a gallery of some of the best Bippu style cars in my opinion, this gallery features Lexus’s, Toyota’s, Nissan’s, Infiniti’s, BMW’s, Audi’s, and Mercedes Benz, also some random companies you would never guessed. Enjoy!

How NOT to drift

Some hardcore racing fans might tell you that the best way to drift is not to do it all. The driver in this video will likely never try drifting again, but not because it’s slower around a track than driving a tight line. No, he’s not going to drift again because he learned the hard way that drifting inside a development with raised curbs is a recipe for broken car with a side of pissed off parents.

A Cute Little Honda Civic Drifts!

I think its nice that someone is able to get a Honda Civic to drift, but it’s too bad he can’t compete in D1GP or any big drifting competitions, seems like a waste. As you can see in the video(pay attention to rear tires) he uses his ebrake alot, otherwise I don’t think he could slide that long without it, enjoy!
